Conversation with Poetry

Some poems affect us deeply, almost irrationally. A line catches in the throat. An image surfaces something long buried. A few words rearrange the furniture of our inner life.

We don’t always know why.

On the third Thursday of each month at This House of Books, a poet or two will guide the group through a conversation about a poem.

This isn’t a workshop. No writing, no performing, no expertise required. Just an unhurried conversation about what poems do to us, and why.
