You want to be a better writer. We’re here to help.
The Big Sky Writing Workshops offer dynamic creative writing workshops for writers at all skill levels. We offer courses ranging from introductory workshops designed with the novice writer in mind to advanced seminars created especially for more seasoned writers who want to take their work to the next level. We also offer special classes for teachers looking for ways to inspire student writers while earning OPI and graduate credits. All of our classes are taught in a nurturing, supportive atmosphere where creativity can flourish.
We offer multi-week courses and one-day workshops in fiction, poetry, nonfiction, and playwriting as well as specialty courses on the novel-in-progress, writing and the environment, writing the scene, creative journaling, performing poetry, overcoming writer’s block, and more.
For writers looking expressly for peer feedback, we offer the Writers’ Circle. This experience focuses on peer critique rather than direct instruction. Facilitated by a BSWW faculty member, students read each others’ works-in-progress and offer constructive feedback.
For those who would rather work with an instructor individually, we offer individual consulting sessions as well as copy editing, proofreading, and other editorial services.
The Big Sky Writing Workshops is about unleashing creativity, building community, inspiring ideas, developing focus, and nurturing the creative life.
